The official press conference of the much awaited Pakistani film Operation 021 was held at Nueplex Cinemas on 21st September where many people belonging from the media to press to entertainment industry showed their presence to support the launch of this film.
A day affair that started from 3PM onwards, the show was attended by various television celebrities such as Mahira Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, Mohib Mirza, Rubya Chaudhry the star cast of the movie including Shaan Shahid, Amina Sheikh, Hameed Shaikh etc. The event was hosted by Gohar Rasheed and Bilal Ashraf and was followed by unveiling of the 3 minute theatrical trailer of Operation 021 which was supported by a humble Q & A session. The Q & A session was handled by the entire cast and crew of the film out of which Ayub Khosa and Shamoon Abbasi were missing out, probably due to their busy schedules. (OR for some other odd reasons which we may have heard)
Later on, once the session was completed; Azaan Sami Khan, the producer of the film and son of legendary Adnan Sami and Zeba Bakhtiar announced for the surprise for all the attendants in cinema. The surprise was a sneak peak to the starting 7 minutes of the film that is yet to be released.
About the film, the film is a spy thriller action in terms of genre which talks about the mineral transactions taking place in Afghanistan. As far as the direction is concerned, the film is directed by Summer Nicks and popular Pakistani director, Jami who is also working on his upcoming project called Moor. The film’s trailer is a clear representation that direction is something all film enthusiasts much look about. This is going to be Pakistan’s first film ever that is based on Dolby Atmos technology; and as stated, the color grading and post production of this film was done abroad.
The film is based on the story written by Australian film maker Summer Nicks and is produced by Azaan Sami Khan, Zeba Bakhtiar and Jami Mehmood. The film features prominent actors such as Shaan Shahid, Aamina Sheikh, Gohar Rasheed, Ayub Khosa, Shamoon Abbasi and Ayaz Samoo in lead roles. This Eid ul Azha, you guys better be checking out to this film as we can guarantee you that this film totally matches the international film standards and the money you’d be paying on this is going to be worth it.
