Key Highlights of Nexa IIFA Awards 2023

The magnificent IIFA Rocks 2023 event took place at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, showcasing a combination of elegance, extravagance, and energy. The esteemed Sobha Realty IIFA Rocks was Co-Presented by NEXA. IIFA ROCKS 2023 featured a spectacular celebration, full of entertainment, glamour, delightful performances, and surprising moments, all under one roof. This breathtaking event was part of the International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA) and was presented in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, the top destination and experience creator in Abu Dhabi.

Sobha Realty IIFA Rocks, hosted by Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao, featured thrilling showcases by Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhbir Singh, Palak Muchhal, and Iulia Vantur. The event remains a platform for showcasing extraordinary musical talent, featuring first-rate performances by industry music legends and providing a captivating musical experience that befits the global film industry’s size and scale.

The musical spectacle began with Palak Muchhal’s dance exhibition. The stage was then taken over by Farah Khan who delivered an enthralling dance performance. Rajkummar Rao joined in with a rendition of “Main Hoon Na” and they recreated a famous scene from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.” Sunidhi Chauhan, Badshah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, and Nora Fatehi followed with spellbinding performances. Amit Trivedi’s melodious voice, accompanied by Arun Kamat, Devendra Palse, Meghna Mishra, and Yashita Sharma, enchanted the audience. Sukhbir Singh and Iulia Vantur’s dhol performance got everyone dancing. The thrilling finale was none other than Nucleya.

There are nine categories in the world of cinema including Cinematography, Screenplay, Dialogue, Editing, Choreography, Sound Design, Sound Mixing, Background Score, and Special Effects (Visuals). At IIFA Rocks, the winners of the Technical Category were honored with the glittering IIFA statuette.

This event also recognized the best achievements in Indian cinema. One exciting element of IIFA Rocks was the stunning collection created by India’s esteemed fashion designer, Manish Malhotra. The collection blended old world charm with modern designs and featured celebrity models Salman Khan and Nora Fatehi as the showstoppers.

One of the highlights of the event was the IIFA Rocks concert, which featured electrifying performances by renowned musicians and singers. The concert was hosted by the charismatic Karan Johar, who kept the energy high throughout the night.

Another highlight was the IIFA Awards ceremony, which recognized the best films, actors, and directors of the year. Members of the industry, along with fans from around the world, cast their votes for their favorites, making for a highly anticipated and suspenseful evening.
