He belongs to a family of musical geniuses. A great Sufi singer and an ardent practitioner of Qawwali, Rahat has been trained under the supreme supervision of late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Rahat’s family has an unbroken tradition of performing Qawwali for more than 600 years. He can be heard in numerous performances alongside his father (Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan) and uncle (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) in recordings from the 80s to 90s.
