Resham Khan, who was left seriously injured after she and her cousin were ambushed in an acid attack on her 21st birthday has released photos of her recovery two months after the horrific incident.
The aspiring model Resham Khan and her cousin, Jameel Muhktar, 37, were driving through Beckton, east London, on the morning of June 21, celebrating Resham’s birthday, listening to music and enjoying her return after nine months studying in Cyprus.
But as they pulled up to a red light, a man, believed to be 25-year-old John Tomlin, threw a corrosive substance through both the passenger and the driver’s windows, in a callous and brutal attack that has left the pair with life-changing injuries.
However, just two months later, Resham uploaded photos to Twitter showcasing her incredible recovery:
