I need support from Pakistan’s government – Amir Khan


    Amir Khan, the British-Pakistani boxer was in town last night at the Body and Soul Health Club & Spa -Ajman to inspire the youth, and we caught up with him for an interview on the current situation of Pakistan’s boxing to which Khan said, “I’ve met the Prime minister Nawaz Sharif during my last visit. I want to help the young boxers but for that I need the Government to support me build the gyms and provide facilities, That’s how the sport of boxing will develop there”. Amir Khan will fly to Pakistan on Friday, and have meetings with potential partners to build boxing in Pakistan.

    When asked about his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather; Khan Said “I want to fight him, i’m 100% ready for it! I should find out soon what his management replies”. Khan also clarified that “the fight with Mayweather will not take place in Dubai if it happens, however considering a huge Philippine community based in the UAE, boxing fans can expect a fight between Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao in 2016”.
