Emirates Phuket Flights Add Third Daily Service

Published:

Emirates Phuket flights are getting a major boost, with the airline adding a third daily service between Dubai and the Thai resort island.

The new frequency will be operated by Emirates’ Airbus A350 and adds more capacity at a time when Thailand continues to attract strong summer demand from the Middle East, the GCC and Europe.

What Is Being Added?

With the third daily flight, Emirates will serve Phuket 21 times a week. The route will use a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, giving travellers more choice when planning Thailand holidays through Dubai.

The new outbound flight, EK390, departs Dubai at 10.40pm and arrives in Phuket at 8.10am the next day. The return flight, EK391, leaves Phuket at 10am and lands in Dubai at 1.05pm.

Why The Timing Helps Travellers

The early morning arrival in Phuket is useful for holidaymakers who want a full first day on the island. It also works for passengers connecting through Dubai from cities such as Manchester, Amsterdam, London, Paris and Frankfurt.

On the return, the daytime departure from Phuket gives travellers smoother access to onward connections from Dubai. Key onward points include Madrid, Munich, Birmingham, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Edinburgh, Zurich and Amman.

A350 Brings Premium Economy To Phuket

The Airbus A350-900 used on the new daily service will have three cabins. The layout includes 32 lie-flat Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats.

Premium Economy passengers get more legroom, upgraded dining and a 35kg checked baggage allowance, along with 10kg of carry-on baggage. For Dubai travellers, that makes Phuket a more comfortable option without moving all the way into Business Class.

The aircraft also brings newer onboard features, including digital menus on ice screens, wireless charging in Business Class and high-performance Wi-Fi supported by ViaSat’s Global Xpress network.

More Than Passenger Seats

The extra flight also improves cargo connectivity from Phuket. A daytime departure to Dubai creates better onward shipment options to Europe, the UK, Africa, the GCC and North America.

That matters for goods such as perishables, electronics and general cargo, especially when Phuket needs reliable access to global gateways through Dubai.

For the UAE travel market, the added flight also gives tour operators and families more flexibility around school holidays. A daily late-night departure from Dubai can help travellers finish work, reach the airport and still arrive in Thailand the next morning.

Thailand Keeps Growing For Emirates

The Phuket expansion follows other Emirates investments in Thailand, including a renovated lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s SAT-1 terminal and an Emirates World Store at Gaysorn Centre in Bangkok.

Emirates also offers Premium Economy on selected Dubai-Bangkok services, which shows that Thailand is becoming a stronger premium leisure market from the UAE and beyond.

For Phuket, the added capacity should also help travellers who prefer island holidays over city stopovers in Bangkok.

The big picture is clear: Phuket is no longer only a seasonal holiday idea for UAE residents. More daily capacity, Premium Economy and smoother connections make it easier to build Thailand into summer and winter travel plans.
