Soon after Dubai police launched an educational app of camel racing game, within hours it was the highest downloaded game on Apple Store and Google Play free game section.
The description of the game says: “Live the dream of owning and racing realistic camels, and share the experience with your friends!” There is also a serious side to the app: it aims to teach people about healthy eating and UAE culture, and includes a camel quiz and facts. The game is the brainchild of the e-service department at Dubai Police. “UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan launched the game. It’s traditional UAE racing – it is a lot of fun,” said Al Razouqi.
“More than 772,000 users downloaded that game – in the educational games category it was ranked first in 74 countries on iPad and first in 65 countries on iPhone. People played it 4.7 million times,” Al Razouqi said.
