Sad New For The Fans!! Avicii woke up this week in some serious pain and was forced to pull out of several appearances that includes his middle east tour of Dubai and Bahrain.

The superstar DJ is currently hospitalized in Miami, where he was scheduled to headline the Ultra Music Festival on Saturday.

“He has been diagnosed as having a blocked gall bladder,” the Grammy-nominated Swedish star’s publicist said in a statement late Friday (via Billboard).

He “is currently being evaluated for a potential surgery to remove his gall bladder and has had to cancel all his commitments for the week, including a highly anticipated performance last night at the Ushuaia Pop Up at the Avicii Hotel at SLS and his headline performance tomorrow at the ULTRA Music Festival.”

“I’m really sorry but as some of you have already heard, I will not be playing Ultra Festival this Weekend,” Avicii wrote to his over 12 million fans on Facebook.

“My fans know that I have had issues in the past with my stomach and pancreatitis… I woke up on Wednesday morning with serious pain but I flew to Miami anyway, hoping that it would go away,” he explained.

“The pain was still there when I landed so I went straight to hospital. I was treated and left later that night.”

“My doctors have decided to operate and remove my gall bladder tomorrow morning. It’s a routine procedure and all going well, I expect to be fully recovered and back on my feet in time for my US True Tour.”

“Thanks for your concern everyone, it means a lot to me,” the 24-year-old entertainer added to his huge fan base.

Avicii is famously known for the beats behind tracks “Wake me Up,” “Levels,” “Fade into Darkness” and many more electronic hits.
